CLUB MOKE RENTAL GUIDE

USAGE RESTRICTIONS

• Mokes are not permitted on beaches, sidewalks, bike paths, grass, or curbs.

• You may not cross bridges or drive off the island.

• Confirm that your rental is allowed in your neighborhood or HOA before booking.

  • Refunds will not be issued within 10 days of arrival for HOA restrictions.

  • Cancellations due to HOA denial are subject to a $50 processing fee.

CHARGING

Every Club Moke includes both a standard Moke charge port and a built-in Tesla Destination Charger port for your convenience. We also provide a Tesla-to-J1772 adapter, allowing you to plug in at virtually any public charging station — including hotels, garages, and home setups — with the exception of Tesla Superchargers.

Whether you’re parked at your villa or out exploring Palm Beach, recharging your Moke is quick and effortless.

• You are responsible for charging your Moke during your rental period.

• Charging time: 4 hours for a full charge.

• Fully charged range: approx. 50 miles per charge (varies by weight, terrain, and speed).

• Charge overnight and whenever the vehicle is idle to maintain full performance.

• Vehicles returned below 75% charge are subject to a half-day rental fee.

• A $500 recovery fee applies for stranded vehicles due to a dead battery (user error).

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

• Drivers must be 25 years or older, with a valid driver’s license and proof of full-coverage auto insurance.

• Only licensed, insured drivers listed on your policy may operate the vehicle.

• All rentals are subject to 7% sales tax.

• Alcohol or drug use is strictly prohibited while operating the vehicle.

  • Violation voids rental privileges and forfeits all payments and deposits.

CHILD & PASSENGER SAFETY

• Children under 3 must ride in a car seat.

• Ages 4 and up must ride in their own seat with a seat belt (booster optional).

• No lap riding or standing while in motion.

• Seat belts required for all passengers at all times.

• Do not exceed the manufacturer’s passenger capacity or weight limits.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

• A $500 refundable deposit is required.

• Returned in full if:

  • No damages

  • No rules or traffic laws broken

  • No citations or fines issued

• Take photos of your Moke prior to departure for your records.

Sample Repair Costs

• Ripped Seats – $400–$800

• Rim/Tire – $200

• Scratched Rim – $50

• Tail/Headlight – $69–$100

• Radio – $500

• Heavy Stains – $100+

• Scratches – $150 per ft

• Dents/Body Damage – $150–$1,000+

• Windshield – $600

• Batteries – $5,000

• No Smoking (lit tobacco): forfeits deposit

CLEANING & LATE FEES

• Vehicles must be returned clean and free of trash/sand.

  • Cleaning fee: $50 if returned dirty.

• Late returns:

  • 30 min – $25

  • 1 hour – $50

  • Over 1 hour – Half-day charge

  • 1 day late – Full-day charge + ¼ deposit deduction

  • Call ahead if you need an extension to avoid late fees.

PROHIBITED ACTIONS

• No off-road or beach driving.

• No standing or riding on the roof.

• Do not store items on the roof (chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc.).

• Do not transport or tow other vehicles.

• Do not sub-rent or transfer your rental.

• Never leave the key in the ignition. Lost key fee: $25.

• Lost/forgotten extension cord fee: $75.

• Abandoned rental fine: $500 + $299 transportation fee (+ $100 if off-island).

BATTERY & PERFORMANCE REMINDER

When your battery meter approaches 50%, plan to return or recharge.
A low battery reduces speed and performance—charge early to avoid interruptions.

PARKING & TRAFFIC

• Operate only on public roads 35 mph or below.

• Park in standard parking spaces unless designated golf-cart spots are available.

• Headlights must be used at night.

• Parking tickets or citations will be billed to the renter’s credit card on file.

ACCIDENT PROCEDURES

1. Move the Moke to a safe location if possible.

2. Call police and request medical assistance if anyone is injured.

3. Remain calm and cooperative—do not admit fault or make statements.

4. Obtain police name/badge number and contact information for all parties and witnesses.

5. Take photos of damages, injuries, and surroundings.

6. Contact Club Moke immediately to report the incident.

7. Complete an Incident Report Form before leaving the area.

DAMAGES & LIABILITY

• All damages must be reported immediately when they occur.

  • Failure to report before leaving town results in a $100 inconvenience fee + repair costs.

• The primary renter is responsible for any loss, damage, or injury caused during the rental.

• Stolen or unreturned vehicles will result in a claim against the renter’s insurance.

• Club Moke may confiscate vehicles and terminate rentals if rules are violated or unsafe behavior is observed — no refund will be issued.
